Acupuncture has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years to help a large variety of disorders. Through specific needle placement, we can modify the flow of "qi" throughout the body to promote proper health and healing. We use very small needles for this relaxing and essentially painless procedure. We use acupuncture for local pain as well as conditions like anxiety, stress relief, menstrual regulation, and sleep disorders.
The inserted needle sends signals to the brain, and the brain releases neural hormones such as beta endorphins. This reduces pain and promotes healing. It can be particularly effective for stubborn and slow to heal conditions.
Some of the more specific examples include, but not limited to, are:
- Arthritic Conditions
- Chronic Tendonitis or Bursitis
- Low Back Pain
